Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa has approved the relaxation of the ban on the use of motorcycles in Numan, headquarters of Numan Local Government Area of the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Malam Ahmad Sajoh.
It said the gesture that would last up to the end of this month, was to enable farmers use motorcycles to transport their harvested produce.
It also said that the decision was sequel to a request to the government on the issue by some traditional leaders of Numan Kingdom.
The government urged the people of the area to continue to remain law abiding and supportive to security operatives in the area.
The government had early last year banned the use of motorcycles in major towns across the state as part of security measures to check the activities of gunmen and robbers
