Just as Cross River State Government plans a carnival for Super Eagles qualification to the 2014 World Cup after Saturday's return leg against Ethiopia, the Ethiopians on their own received a massive boost as one of their dare-devil strikers Getaneh Kebede returns to the Walya Antelopes.
Kebede, a sharp-shooter missed the first leg which they lost 2-1 to the Eagles because of a knee injury. He rejoined the team on Monday and there was joy in their camp.
Coach Sewinet Bishaw has not giving up hope that the Ethiopians could pull the upset button in Calabar when they tackle the Super Eagles.
With the presence of Saladin Seid and midfield marvel Shikels Bekele, Bishaw said that they would go for attacking play to be able to cause the upset and qualify for their first World Cup appearance in Brazil.
Nothing is impossible in football. We're working hard and the players are responding well with a positive attitude. We're on track", Bishaw told an Ethiopian Newspaper.
