Robbers raid Bauchi govt press crew bus

Four gunmen suspected to be robbers raided four vehicles, including the Bauchi State Government Press Crew bus and relieved occupants of their cash, cell phones and other valuables at a junction in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Source gathered that the robbery happened around 4.30 pm when the press crew was returning from the traditional title ceremony of the Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda, in Oyo State.

Explaining how they were robbed, a member of the press crew who pleaded anonymity said the robbers, who had been operating on that particular road for sometime, first blocked the road to prevent vehicles from crossing.

According to him, three vehicles fell victim to the robbers  as they forced all passengers to lie on the ground.

He said: "The masked robbers who were four in number started shooting sporadically when they cited the four vehicles,  including the state government press crew bus.
