APC crisis: Chieftain calls for intervention of National Secretariat

As the crisis in the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State  over the inauguration of the harmonisation committee rages, a chieftain of the party,  Hon Olufemi Adekanmbi yesterday called for the intervention of the National Secretariat of the party.

Adekanmbi equally advised the leadership of the party in the state not to allow their personal interest  to frustrate the efforts of the party's National Executives to form the ruling party in 2015.

His call is coming on the heels of the crisis that trailed the inauguration of a 31-member interim Executive Committee in Ondo State in which 19 of the members alleged imposition of unknown party members into the committee.

Aggrieved members  led by a Special Adviser to the state governor on Environment, Mr. Bola Ilori and Chief Sola Iji expressed grievances on the inauguration of the committee, saying the executives were not duly appointed.

Other aggrieved members are mainly  members of the defunct CPC and ANPP in the state who alleged they were sidelined in the committee

However, Adekanmbi while speaking with newsmen in Akure  appealed to members of the party to work together as a team ahead of the 2015 general elections in the state. He  said the party cannot afford to be relegated in the state politics again.
