Police Apprehends Four Suspects For Car Theft

The police in Delta state has apprehended four robbery suspects believed to be specialists in car snatching and refurbishing.

The suspects, according to the police are indigenes of Onitsha in Anambra state, but chose to be carrying out the activities in Asaba, the Delta state capital.

Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Ikechukwu Adada, said the men after refurbishing stolen cars, resell to unsuspecting members of the public.

The suspects however denied knowledge of the car activities which they have been apprehended for.

The Police Commissioner said that one of the vehicles was stolen from a woman in Enugu and was traced down to Asaba based on information, stating that "information is power" he added.

He therefore advised Nigerians to be involved with "intelligence networking", "as far as we are concerned in Delta state, we have declared war on crime and criminality". He emphasized that adequate information should be given to the police to help in further investigating crime.
